Hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July!  Yesterday we went to the Sayreville 4th of July festival and met up with a few other moms from my mommy group.  We didn’t get to stay for the fireworks but it was fun, it was a beautiful day, about 78 degrees and Ethan had fun playing with Jason and Leila while the parents talked.

We got home and our next door neighbors invited us to their annual 4th of July party so we went over there and spent the evening with their family and friends.  Our baby monitor worked in their backyard, so we got to hang out all evening and well into the night!  They set off some fireworks right in front of our houses.  We tie-dyed some shirts and also met some new friends – Jillian, Justin and their 3 sweet kids were there and we had a nice time talking and hanging out.

Tonight we can see about 10 different fireworks shows from our front and back porch.  I can’t help but remember last 4th of July – we were in Wantaugh, NY for Alex and Jean’s wedding, after spending the week here in NJ looking for houses.  We had an offer out on this house and I was about 33 weeks pregnant…little did we know that baby Ethan would be arriving in just 3 short weeks!!  How time flies.

Anyway, happy fourth of July to everyone, hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend.
